DSLR 101: An introduction to your Digital SLR

Getting a new DSLR? Have one and thinking you could be getting more from it? We will demystify the technology for you and concentrate on the elements that will help you make better photographs, leaving aside the complicated extras that come with having a quality DSLR. In addition to learning about your camera, we take you through the technical basics of photography and image making, through to editing and basic processing of the images on computer.
Starting with camera settings, you will learn to set up a seamless workflow to make importing and working on your images as easy as possible. Knowledge of the basic fundamentals and techniques of photography gives you confidence and a solid foundation to work from, making it easier to improve your shooting skills, make great photographs and develop your creativity. You will learn to make the most of your photographic opportunities in terms of composition and subject matter. Image processing programs like Photoshop are complex but we concentrate on the basic techniques that will help you get the most from every image, the starting point for improving your image editing and processing skills.
This workshop is a perfect gift for someone who has just been given or invested in a DSLR and needs some help to grasp the basics in order to take their photography to the next level.
